Graveside services for Julia Middleton Furr will be on Monday, July 10, 2017, at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS, at 11:00 AM. Bro. Willie Welch will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Furr, 88, formerly of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC, with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 21, 1928, in Roxie, MS, to Stanton and Julia Jones Middleton. She worked for 42 years as a medical technologist; was a member of FBC of Brookhaven for many years and in 2010 became a member of the FBC of Eden in North Carolina; and enjoyed playing cards with her circle of friends, crocheting, church trips, baking, and most of all, devotion to God, family and friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Stanton and Julia Jones Middleton; husband, Troy Furr; brother, S.L. Middleton; and sister, Edith Middleton Anderson.

Survivors are her daughters, Lynn Jones and Rita Hart; grandsons, Brian Hart(Kelly), Matthew Jones(Addie) and Marc Jones; great grandsons, Trevor Jones and Jim Hart; sisters, Geneva M Keys and Naomi M Powers; and a host of family and friends.
