Mrs. Joyce Miller Tate, 80, formerly of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Clinton, MS. She was born on January 29, 1938, in Wesson, MS, to Harold W. Miller and Gussie M. Miller. She was a member of Wesson Baptist Church and loved being a wife and mother. She enjoyed attending church and singing in the choir. She was honored to have been selected to join the choir in St. Louis, MO to commemorate the 50th year of High School Band Music. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tate will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Wesson Cemetery in Wesson, MS. Bro. Tim Evans will be officiating the services. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Paul M. Tate.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Prine and husband Joseph of Terry, MS, Jo Teer and husband Mike of Clinton, MS, Kristy Bell and husband Lonnie of Edwards, MS, and Paula Evans and husband Tim of Raymond, MS; her sister, Carolyn Graham and husband Edward of Wesson, MS; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
