John Thomas Roberts' Obituary
Funeral services for John Thomas Roberts will be on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 11 AM with burial to follow in the Gum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Benji Pyeatt will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 9 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM.
Mr. Roberts, 86, passed from this life on June 10, 2016, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS. He was born on August 9, 1929, in Brookhaven, MS, to Kelsey and Annie Mae Richardson Roberts. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Kelsey and Annie Mae Richardson Roberts; son, John Roberts; and aunt, Ms. Emma Richardson.
Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Helen Bowman Roberts; daughter, Annie Roberts Case and husband Ricky of Brookhaven, MS; grandchildren, Jessica Case Albright and husband Marty, and Katie Case Dent and husband John; and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Kings Daughter's Medical Center, Silver Cross Nursing Home and Hospice Compassus.
