Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. John William Beacham will be on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Union Hall Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Billy Joe Deer will be officiating the services. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Monday, September 17, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Beacham, 85, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 3, 1933 in Lincoln County, MS, to Dan Beacham and Mary Callender Beacham. He enjoyed riding his lawnmower, golfing, and his grandkids. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Mr. Beacham loved being a Wahabi Shriner and performing with the Oriental Band. He joined the army in 1953 and served as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division.   Mr. John joined the St. Regis Paper Mill during start-up in January 1968 and retired 30 years later to come home to his loving wife.

Preceding him in death were his parents and son-in-law, Lamar Shoemaker.

Survivors are his wife of 37 years, Linda Waldon Beacham; son, John Michael Beacham; daughters, Deanna Shoemaker, Dianna Beacham, Stacey Butler Lovette and Dana Smith and husband Jeff; grandchildren, John Alexander Beacham, Caitlin Danielle Beacham, Corey Hickman and wife Ashley, Keith Hickman and wife Emilee, Madison Lovette, Kayleigh Lovette, Ryan Smith and Carly Young and husband Ryan; great grandchildren, Brayton, Swayze, Preston, and Peyton Hickman; his sister, Nita Nettles; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Ricky Case, Adam Waldon, Scotty Smith, Jarred Ashley, Donavan Case, Corey Hickman, Keith Hickman and Ryan Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. John's name may be made to: Union Hall Building Fund or the Brookhaven Animal Rescue League.
