Funeral services for Jo Ann K. Hawkins will be on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Ronny Robison, Bro. Stuart Purvis, and Bro. Garland Boyd will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Hawkins, 74, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on October 30, 1943 in Monticello, MS, to D.H. "Nub" King and Idelia Bardwell King. She enjoyed being with her family, reading her Bible, and listening to Elvis Presley. She was a loving Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, John J. Hawkins; sisters, Katherine Hall and Yvonne Coon; and brother, Homer King.

Survivors are her daughters, Alice Faye Davis, Patricia Boyte and husband Tim; her grandchildren, Neal Boyte and wife Lindsey, Jo Ellen Edwards and husband Dr. Chad Edwards, Zach Davis, and Danielle Davis; her great grandchildren, Christian Boyte, Easton Boyte, Klayre Davis, Barrett Davis, Mason Boyte, and Joleigh Edwards; her sister, Donis Foster and husband Donald; and a host of family and friends.
