A visitation for Mr. Jim Edward Hendrix will be on Monday, February 3, 2020, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS from 5:00 till 8:00 PM.

Mr. Hendrix, 70, of Prentiss, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at home. He was born on November 22, 1949, in Grenada, MS, to Otis Hendrix and Ruby Woodall Hendrix Putman. He was a member of the Baptist faith and worked for many years as a diesel mechanic in the oilfield industry. Mr. Hendrix enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his family especially with grandson C. J.. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Otis Hendrix and Ruby H. Putman; wife, Lucille Hendrix; daughter, Debra Hendrix; and brothers Otis Cleveland Serven MD and Billy Jean Hendrix.

Survivors are his daughters, Ruby Cartwright and husband Kevin, Rhonda Houghton and husband Mitch, Eva Hendrix and LaWanda Hendrix; sister, JoeAnn H. Clolinger; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
