Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Wayne Herring will be on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Brookhaven Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Heucks Retreat Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. David Millican will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday night from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM and will resume on Thursday morning.
Jerry Wayne Herring, 67, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Friday, March 29, 2024. He was born on November 30, 1956 in Brookhaven, MS to Lonnie A. Herring and Lemmie B. Foster Herring. Mr. Herring was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a logger for Chuck Johnson Logging for many years. He loved his best friend and faithful American Bulldog "Rocky". He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years. He loved all his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Lemmie B. Herring; and his grandparents Clarence and Mary Edell Herring and Jack and Lillie Foster.
Survivors include son Justin Herring; twin sister Mary Posey of Brookhaven, MS; brother Ronnie Herring (Robin) of Conroe, TX; niece Andrea Grammer; nephews Michael Thornton (Anita) and Shane Herring (Kellie); great nieces Stephanie Grammer and Abigail Brister (Bradyn); great nephews Bradley Grammer, Johnny Bass, Mitchell Thornton (Ashton), Colton Herring and Tyler Herring; great- great nephews Braxtyn Brister, Tucker Thornton, Archer Thornton and Miller Thornton.
