Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Dean Hart will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 12 o'clock noon; two hours of visitation will precede the service on the same morning at the funeral home from 10 o'clock until time of service. Graveside services will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Bogue Chitto, Mississippi. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Hart, 69, of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on March 11, 1956 to Hugh Harrison and Hilda Grice Hart.

He loved his family – especially his grandchildren – and his church family; he was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and attended Open Door Baptist Church in Summit, MS. He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing on the Mississippi River and at Cross Bayou, and spending time with his buddies at the fox pen running dogs. Most of all, he loved to aggravate everyone around him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Hart, and by a brother-in-law, Tony Porter.

Survivors include his mother, Hilda Hart; his beloved Marion Cutrer; a son, David Hart (April); two daughters, Holly Johnson (Alan) and Jill Faircloth (Cody); six grandchildren, Brooklyn, Millie, Adalynn, Rhett, Waylon, and Caroline; a brother, Kevin Hart (Betti); and two sisters Deborah Smith (Ricky) and Annie Porter; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
