Jeffrey O'Neal
Waldrop
July 7, 1954 – May 20, 2020
Mr. Jeffrey O'Neal Waldrop, 65, of Brookhaven, MS passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in Brookhaven, MS. He was born on July 7, 1954 in Brookhaven, MS to Jesse Waldrop and Glida Allbritton Waldrop.
Jeff is a Christian and a United States Marine Corps veteran. He served the Lord and His people all his adult life. He worked at Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson for many years and served the members and community with his unique blend of compassion and tenacity. He retired from the state as head of maintenance for Boswell Regional Center. While he was on this earth he loved his family and friends with a heart full of Jesus and a need to help them understand how much they are loved. Jeff had an ever present willingness to help anyone in need. He wanted to help everyone he came in contact with to attain the mind of Christ. He would be the first to tell you that God used his wife Beth and her family to save his life and make it one worthy of a servant of Jesus Christ. The Marine Corps motto is "Semper Fidelis" and that was Jeff in this life, always faithful.
Preceding him in death was his loving wife who passed away only 11 weeks ago, Jo Beth; his parents, Jessie and Gilda; and brothers Jesse, David, Joey and Claude Jr.
He is survived by his sons Allen and Jess, daughter-in-laws Lauren and Amy; grandchildren Zoe, Hayden and Nolan; nephew Walt Allen; sisters Judy (Mike), Martha (Hurston), Laura (Kevin), Claudette (Martin); and brothers Claude Edward (Jennifer) and Jonas; sister-in-laws Gina Kim (Gil) and Lucy Smith (Kirk); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and so many friends.
