Funeral services for Ms. Janice Lynn Thornhill will be held at Brookhaven Funeral home on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Easthaven Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on January 24, 2025 from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM.
Ms. Thornhill, 72, of Brookhaven, Mississippi passed away on January 15, 2025. She was born in Brookhaven on November 1, 1952 to Willie Hewitt "Bubba" Smith and Willie Marie Richardson Smith.
Janice was a caring and devoted mother to her two daughters, Theresia and Kimberly. She was also a very involved grandmother. She loved nothing more than watching her grandchildren grow up and made sure to spoil them every chance she got.
When she wasn't with her children and grandchildren she spent her time with her brother, Mike, whom she had always shared a special bond with. She was always happiest when she was amongst her family and friends. She made sure to let them   know every day just how much she loved them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, David Addison "Bubba" Reed; and two brothers, Robert Wayne Smith and Michael Hewitt Smith.
Survivors include her daughters, Theresia Martin (Richard "Butch") and Kimberly Reed (Shane); two granddaughters, Kalen Martin and Zaylee Reed; a grandson, Brayden Reed; two nieces, Reneè Smith and Debra Smith; along with extended family and friends.
