Funeral services for Mrs. Janette Thorpe Tarver, of Meridian, MS will be on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven, MS at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the Union Church Cemetery in Union Church, MS. Bro. Owen King will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 9:00 until 10:00 AM.

Mrs. Janette Thorpe Tarver passed from this life on July 22, 2023, in Meridian, MS.  She was born on October 11, 1951 in Natchez, MS, to John W and Sallie Mae Twiner Thorpe.  She was a loving wife, mother and sister.  Janette loved to cook and loved to fish.  She was an LPN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Walter and Florence Twiner; son, Michael Wayne Tarver; brothers, John Wade Thorpe and Jimmy Ray Thorpe and sister, Marinia Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Tarver; son, John Richard Tarver of Meridian, MS; brother, Lloyd Thorpe (Tina) of Forrest, MS; sisters, Linda Irby (Vernon) of Enterprise, MS and Liz Haralson of Brookhaven, MS; brother-in-law, Carroll Fuller (Ruby); sister-in-law; Gloria Brock with a host of nieces and nephews.
