Funeral services for Janet R. Smith will be on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Ramah Baptist Church.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with services to follow.

Ms. Janet Smith of Crystal Springs, MS, passed away on July 1, 2023.  She was born on February 26, 1960, in Brookhaven, MS.  She grew up at Ramah Baptist Church, and she loved playing the piano there.  With the last season of her life, she was at Springs of Praise Church, and after many years she got to play the piano again there.  She worked at the Wisteria Inn Bed and Breakfast in Crystal Springs, MS, as the manager.  She loved her job.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her father, James Ratcliff; and her grandparents, Verna and Earl Vaughn, and Mary and Lenoir Ratcliff.

Survivors are her children Jake Smith and wife, Gina, and Josh Smith and wife, Amie; her mother, Linda Ratcliff; grandchildren, Brandtley Smith, Brooklynn Smith, and Addison Bullock; siblings, Amanda Lofton and husband, Jammy, and Tim Ratcliff, and wife, Rachelle; nieces and nephews, Madi Lofton, Macy Lofton, and Brady Ratcliff; grandchildren, Savannah Reynolds, Madisyn Galle, and Egil Galle; and great grandchildren, Lilah Reynolds and Lorelie Reynolds.
