Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Marie Jordan Holston will be on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 2 PM, with burial to follow at Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven. Bro. Jerry Sullivan will be officiating the service. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 12 noon till time of the service at 2 PM. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Holston, 70, passed away from this life on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at her residence in the Wesson Community. She was born in Cullman, AL to Willie Ray Griffin and Hilder May Evans Griffin.

She was a former employee of Kroger and later on was a longtime truck driver. Mr. Holston enjoyed working with wood and could build almost anything from sight. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting and knitting.

Preceding her in death was her mother; her husband, Dennis Jordan; her infant son; and her sisters Faye Ratcliff and Patsy Overstreet.

Survivors are her son, Dennis Grant Jordan of Smithdale, MS; grandchildren Peyton Jordan and Alexis Jordan; father Ray Griffin of Vidor, TX; brother Mike Griffin and wife Judy of Wesson; sisters Elaine Allen of Oxford and Malinda Pierce of Baton Rouge, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Countrybrook Living Center Staff and to Dr. Lewis during her stay in the nursing home. They would also like to thank Gentiva Home Healthcare and their nurses when she came home.
