Funeral services for James Larry Warrick will be on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 12:00 Noon with burial to follow in the Little Bahala Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.
Mr. Warrick, 69, of Wesson, MS, passed from this life on Friday, March 12, 2021, at home. He was born on December 13, 1951, in Brookhaven, MS, to Elmer Warrick and Laurene Saxon Warrick. He was a member of Little Bahala Baptist Church. He retired from the Mississippi Forestry Commission. Larry served his country in the U. S. Army, U. S. Coast Guard, U. S. Army Reserve and he retired from the Mississippi Army National Guard. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid reader. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Larry also loved his many "fur babies" over the years. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Preceding him in death were his parents Elmer and Laurene Warrick; step-mother Edna Dunaway Warrick; sister Darlene Warrick; brother Winston Saxon and step-brother Gerald Dunaway.
Survivors are his wife, Amelia Harris Warrick; daughters Julie Williamson (Toby) and Tasha Douglas (Mark); brother Wayne Warrick (Juletta); step-sister Linda Dunaway Townsend (Wilton); step-brothers Norman Dunaway (Peggy), Larry Dunaway (Diane), Wayne Dunaway (Algirda); step-sister-in-law Peggy Dunaway (Mrs. Gerald Dunaway); 6 grandchildren Tristen Sills, Micah Williamson, Shelby Williamson, Levi Williamson, Zach Douglas and Emily Douglas; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Stay Home Health Care and the staff at Copiah Medical Center and the Hazlehurst Clinic and also to all his family and friends who extended their love and prayers.
