Funeral services for Mr. James Lowery "Larry" Dunn will be on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at New Prospect Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Willie Welch and Bro. Jim Mannon will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again at New Prospect Baptist Church on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

Mr. Dunn, 77, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville, MS with his loving family at his side. He was born on January 25, 1941 in Brookhaven, MS, to James Ira Dunn and Elsie Lee Bowman Dunn. He was retired from Kelley-Coppedge Inc. Oil Field Construction. Mr. Dunn was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and farming his land and cattle and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 40 years, Shirley Jean West Dunn; his parents, Ira and Elsie Dunn; brothers, Lemuel Kirby Dunn and Carroll Bruce Dunn; and daughter in law Barbara Dunn.

Survivors are his daughter, Susan Leigh Adams and husband Andy, MS; son, James Carl Dunn, both from Brookhaven, MS; grandson, Tyler James Adams; and a host of family and friends.
