Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. James Gabriel "Gabe" Terrell will be on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 10 AM with burial to follow in the Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Trent Bilbo will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday, July 14, 2017, from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Mr. Terrell, 73, of West Lincoln, MS, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 12, 1944 in McComb, MS, to Clyde E. Terrell and Mildred Lewis Terrell. He enjoyed coaching, watching his grandchildren play sports, golfing, raising cattle, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a Mississippi All-Star coach for boys and girls basketball in 1977 and 1989. He had a tremendous impact on the players he coached over the years. Mr. Terrell was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who lived life to the fullest.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Linda Kay Anding Terrell.

Survivors are his best friend and fiancée, Mary Jane James; son, James Christopher Terrell and wife Christi of Bogue Chitto, MS; daughter, Allison Terrell Tyler and husband Bradley of Kosciusko, MS; sister, Deloris Terrell of Vicksburg, MS; step-mother, Clara Terrell and step-brother Gary Quinn and wife Belinda of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Colby Terrell, Kayden Tyler, and Hayes Tyler; and a host of family and friends.
