Funeral services for Mr. James Buffington will be on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Brookhaven Funeral Home in (894 Natchez Drive) Brookhaven, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Stewart Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, MS.  Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Mr. Buffington, 55, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS. He was born on September 27, 1963 in Wesson, MS, to James Earl and Rose Mary Boyd Buffington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding four wheelers.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; grandson, Timothy James (T.J.) Hodges; and his grandmother, Jessie Boyd.

Survivors are his wife, Gloria Buffington; son, Benjamin Wayne Buffington; granddaughter, Christina Diane Hodges; sisters, Shannon Hodges and husband Timothy, Debra Holcomb, Sandra Velandingham, and Betty Rollins; his brother, Kenny Joe Buffington and wife Jennie; and sister-in-law, Bertha Hodges; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
