Funeral services for Jackie Richardson will be held on May 18, 2026 at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven, Mississippi with burial to follow at Turner-Richardson Family Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on May 17, 2026 from 5pm to 8pm.
Jackie Richardson, 72, of Brookhaven, Mississippi passed away on May 14, 2026. He was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi to Julius “Bud” Richardson and Ellen Adams Richardson.
He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Brookhaven. However, he often attended church with his family at Faith Church. Characterized by many as one of the hardest working men anyone had every known, Jackie spent most of his career in various positions in the oilfield industry. He worked for many years with Miller Mechanical. He even had the opportunity to work with both of his sons at Miller. He was a man with a strong work ethic, strong faith in the Lord, and a strong love for his family. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed running his fox dogs with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Julius “Bud” Richardson, and his brother, Wayne Richardson.
Survivors are his mother, Ellen Richardson, his siblings, Johnny Richardson (Julia) and Debra Keeton (John), his loving wife, Peggy Richardson, his three children, Kasondra “Kandy” Richardson Kenney (Michael) of Austin, Texas, Jackie Richardson, Jr. (Connie), and Terry Richardson (Renee), all of Brookhaven, Mississippi. He had eight grandchildren, Brittany and Alyssa Dunnaway, Cameron Kistner, Samantha Richardson, Justin Richardson (Brittany), Joshua Richardson, Hunter Richardson, and Abby Grace Richardson. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Eli, Paisley, Waylon, Ella Jane, and Myles.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Sydneye McKinney, RT, of United Medical, Dr. Timothy Cannon and Chad Barfoot, NP for Jackson Pulmonary Associates, the staff from the 3rd floor of Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, and Courtney Windom, RN from Deaconess Home Health.
