Funeral services for Mrs. Inetia "Faye" Smith will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon; the family will receive visitors at the funeral home on the same day from 12 o'clock noon until service time. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Graveside services will be held following the funeral in the New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery, Brookhaven, Mississippi.

Inetia Faye Smith, 85, of Brookhaven, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026. She was born in McCall Creek, Mississippi on November 16, 1940 to Burton McKinley Calcote and Bessie Bell Lofton Calcote.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carroll Nelson Smith; brothers, Roy Calcote, Willis Calcote, Gerald Calcote, Frank Calcote, and Dan Calcote; and a sister, Ann Smith.

She is survived by her son, Kerry Coone; her daughter, Sharlae Nevels (Ralph); grandchildren, Lacey Nevels, Joshua Coone, Robbie Coone, Jessica Nevels, Matthew Nevels, Heather Nevels; and great-grandchildren, Destiny Yaskovic, Chris McDonald, Serenity Nevels, Conor McDonald, Elijah Coone, Easton Coone, and Maely Coone.
