Memorial services for Mr. Howard Lee Jones will be held at Faith Church in Bogue Chitto on Tuesday, February 4, at 2:00 PM; with a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Jones, 73, of Wesson, Mississippi passed away on January 29, 2025. He was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on June 25, 1951 to Richard Howard Jones, Jr. and Dorothy Juanita Nugent Jones.

Howard loved his family – including his puppies – his friends, and church family; he was a faithful member of Faith Church in Bogue Chitto. He was a jokester and took any opportunity to pick on others and make them laugh. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or grilling. He will be missed by his family, friends, and all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mollie Cooper Jones; two sons Anthony Lee Jones (Dani) and Nathan Lee Jones (Brandy); seven grandchildren; one-great granddaughter; and one expected great-grandson; one sister, Sandra VanHuis (Joe); his nieces and nephews along with other extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Gentiva Hospice and all of the physicians and medical staff who cared for him over the last year.
