Funeral services for Mr. Howard Wesley Adams, Sr. will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 2:00 in the afternoon, with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Union Church. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, September 11, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Adams, 80, of Union Church, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. He was born in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi on July 23, 1945, to Henry Pink and Mary Magdeline Moak Adams.

Mr. Adams was a Christian and of the Baptist faith; he served his country as a member of the United States Army, performing a tour of duty in Vietnam. He loved his family, and especially enjoyed spoiling his great-grandbabies; he also loved working with his cows, chickens, and on his tractor. To everyone he loved he would leave the advice, "be particular."

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, A.J. and Maxine Stanley Short; his son, Howard Wesley Adams, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Andrew "Butch" Short III.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sharon Ann Short Adams; his two daughters, Felisha Bracey (Kevin) and Kristi Adams; six grandchildren, Drew Britt (Bailey), Lauryn Bracey, Blane Britt (Grace), Parker Bracey (Alexis), Taylor Bracey, and Emma Britt (Austin Smith); four great-grandchildren, Sydney, Frannie Beth, Beckett, Hollis; and one expected great-grandchild, Banks. He also leaves behind one sister, Charlotte Adams, along with his extended family and friends.
