Helen Mozelle Stephens, 88, of Wesson, MS, passed from this life on September 1, 2024 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS.  She was born on October 11, 1935 in Tallahatchie County, MS to William Auguster "Gus" Goodwin and Dovie Mae McCafferty Goodwin. She married Joseph Charles Joseph in 1954 and had three children with him. After his death in 1973 she married Fred "Steve" Stephens in 1975 and had one child. Steve Stephens passed away in 2015. She was very active in her church and community at Pearl Valley Baptist Church in Wesson, MS. She had a group of friends whom she played dominoes with and also sang with at Strong Hope Baptist Church in Wesson, MS. Mozelle loved country living, her family and her friends in the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Dovie Mae Goodwin; her first husband, Joseph C. Joseph Sr and her second husband Steve Stephens; brothers Cecil Goodwin, Buddy Goodwin, Doyl Goodwin and Winfred Goodwin; sisters Eva Mae Tominello, Mildred Ferguson, Gladys Minga and Mary Goodwin Lott.

Survivors include her children, Helen Monique Joseph of Woodville, MS, Joseph Charles Joseph, Jr (Candie) of Thibodaux, LA,  Daniel Alton Joseph of Covington, LA, and Laura Stephens Curtis (Justin) of Wesson, MS; grandchildren Brandy Price Klingman (Kevin), Candice Price Pecue (Matthew), Michael Price (Jessica), Niki Joseph Knight (Brandon), Joseph Charles Joseph III, Jessie Joseph (Rikki), Devin Carr, and Courtney Carr; 7 great-grandchildren Khloe, Kollette, Kade, Mason, Madeline, Hunter and Abel; sister Dorothy "Dot" Dunn; and numerous nieces and nephews who dearly loved her.
