Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Case Richardson will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, MS, at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, MS. Bro. Hal Hatten will officiate the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with Order of Eastern Star ceremony beginning at 7:30 in the Chapel.

Mrs. Richardson, 93, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from life on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at McComb Nursing & Rehab Center in McComb, MS. She was born on January 18, 1924, in Lincoln County, MS to Eugene and Blanche Nettles Case. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, MS, where she served on many committees as well as Sunday School Superintendent; she was a Past Matron and member of Auburn Chapter #87 Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joe "Buddy" Richardson; parents, Eugene and Blanche Nettles Case; brothers, Elvin, Felix and Floyd Case; sisters, Abigail Allred and Euvonne Case; nephew, Gary Paul Case; and great-grandson Anthony Roberts, Jr.

Survivors include sons, Jerry Richardson of Mobile, AL, Larry Richardson and wife Nancy of McComb, MS, and Bobby Richardson and wife Carolyn of Bogue Chitto, MS; daughters, Joetta Richardson Berghman and husband Joseph of Summit, MS, and Sue Richardson Smith and husband Ed of San Diego, CA; brother, Arthur Case of Brookhaven, MS; 15 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
