Funeral services for Helen Doris Hoggatt will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Easthaven Cemetery. Bro. Greg Warnock will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

Mrs. Hoggatt, 90, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Friday, November 4, 2022, at home with her loving family. She was born on September 5, 1932, in Smith County, MS, to Albert Ezell James and Ella Elizabeth Wells James. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS where she loved working for many years as a Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Hoggatt was a true example of a homemaker. She was a loving caregiver for her entire family.

Preceding her in death were her parents Albert and Ella James; husband, Howard Asa Hoggatt; grandson, James Hoggatt; and sisters Alberteen Churchman and Jackie Matthews.

Survivors are her sons, Lance Hoggatt (Penny) and Larry Hoggatt; 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Felicity, William, Matthew, Thomas, Andrew and Zoe; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
