Helen Marie
Coone
April 18, 1955 – February 2, 2025
Helen Marie Coone was born to the late Cecil Johnson and Elizabeth (Betty) Johnson on April 18th, 1955. She departed this earthy life on Sunday, February 2, 2025 in Brookhaven, MS with her family at her side.
Helen was born in Madison, Wisconsin and eventually moved to Bradenton, Florida at an early age where she attended and graduated from Manatee High School. Shortly after attending school, she would soon find her childhood sweetheart and would eventually go on to marry, the late James (Mitchel) Coone, and together they shared two sons, Timothy Lee Coone and James Daniel Coone.
For the last 40+ years Helen attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served many roles of which included Sunday School Teacher.
She enjoyed numerous things in life. A few of which included scrapbooking, crafting, genealogy, and most importantly spending time with her grand and great grandchildren, of whom she adored.
Helen's love and compassion for others was like no other, her spunky personality was contagious and to know her was to love her. She was often told or referred to as a second mother.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband James (Mitchel) Coone; her parents, Cecil and Betty Johnson; three sisters, Janet Knepper, Kay Miller, and Kristine Osterling; her father and mother-in-law, James and Juanita Coone; a sister-in-law, Carolyn (Beth) Coone; and a brother-in-law, Marc Crawford.
Helen leaves to cherish her memory; her sons Timothy Coone and James (Danny) Coone; brother-in-law, James (Jimbo) Coone; two sisters-in-law, Cathy Smith (Wayne) and Anita (Darlene) Crawford; two grandchildren, Garrett Coone (Darian Delaughter) and Chloe Allen (Sawyer); eight great grandchildren, Bentley Weeks, Layton Weeks, Easton Coone, Cayden Coone, Kinley Coone, Willow Allen, Violet Allen, and Emma Brown. Helen leaves many other family members, including nieces and nephews and many, many loving friends.
