Hazel Meenach Keeton Brister completed her life's journey on September 15,2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 28, 1934 in Grayson, KY to Clifford and Lorene (Craycraft) Meemach.

Her husband of 52 years Carl Edward Keeton and second husband Almon Brister both preceded her death along with sister Glenna Gilstrap, granddaughter Sharon Wilson, granddaughter-in-law Erica Keeton. Those left in sorrow at her passing are sons Jerry Keeton of Brookhaven ,Jonathan Keeton (Debra) of Pearland, TX and step-son Dale Brister (Karenita) of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Shawn Keeton, James Keeton (Brittany) , Jerry Keeton Jr. (Stacey),Heather Keeton of Greta, LA, Michelle Keeton and Heith Keeton of Maysville, KY, Christy Keton Pearland, TX, Bryan Keeton (Ashley) and Kathryn Road (Josh) of Katy, TX, Andy Keeton (Meaghan) of Conroe, TX, Cody Brister and Kayla Hayes of Brookhaven, MS. She has 28 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Hazel also leaves brothers Kennith Meenach (Hazel) and Leo Meenach of Ashland, KY and her sister Shelby Bush of Huntington, W.V.. She also leaves many family members in KY, OH and MI.

Hazel was a loving mother and grandmother. She lived many years in Mason, Ohio and was an active member of the Eastern Stars in Sharonville, Ohio. She also had a successful western wear business. After her husband's  retirement, they moved to her present home on East Lincoln Rd. She was a member of Southway Baptist Church and was a greeter at Walmart for many years.

Her celebration of life services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Brookhaven Funeral Home 894 Natchez Drive Brookhaven, MS with interment at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Her pastor Rev. Rich Balkcom will officiate with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
