Graveside services for Mr. Guy Edward Tarver will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazlehurst, MS, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Richard Abercrombie will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Tarver, 90, of Hazlehurst, MS, passed from this life on Friday, May 22, 2020, at his home with his loving family by his side.  He was born on August 3, 1929, in Brookhaven, MS, to Jennings and Addie Mathews Tarver. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church; worked for many years as a machinist at General Electric in Jackson, MS; and enjoyed fishing, doing various projects, watching New Orleans Saints football, and spending time with family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Jimmie Ruth McNeil; grandson, Shane Williams; and 9 siblings.

Survivors are his son, Charlie Tarver of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter, Cindy Williams of Madison, MS; grandchild, Shannon Williams; great- grandchildren; Kristen Smith, Kimberlyn Williams, Brooklynn Sperandeo, and Caydence Williams; great-great-grandchild, Presley Clanton; sister, Mable Gibson; and a host of family and friends.
