Funeral services for Gordon Earl Applewhite will be on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 3:30 PM, with burial to follow in the Riverwood Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Dr. Richard Balkcom will be officiating the services, with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will also be at Brookhaven Funeral home on the same day from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at 3:30 PM.

Mr. Applewhite, 58, passed from this life on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 17, 1958, in Brookhaven, MS, to Rufus and Evelyn Cloy Applewhite. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding horses, and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Rufus and Evelyn Cloy Applewhite and niece, Gabriel Windham.

Survivors are his wife of 25 years, Stella Ann Applewhite of Brookhaven, MS; sons, Lee Myers and wife Brandy of Brookhaven, MS, Taylor Applewhite of Jackson, MS, Will Felder of Corvalis, OR, and August Fortado of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Dallas and Daughtry Myers and Dalton and Rylan Fortado; brother, Revel Applewhite of Madison, MS; and a host of family and friends.
