Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Watts Smith will be on Wednesday, Jan 3, 2018, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Thomas Wicker will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Smith, 95, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on December 30, 2017, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS. She was born on June 20, 1922 in Franklin County, MS, to Pearlie Watts and Evie Smith Watts. She enjoyed yard work and sewing and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, J C Britt and Brady Smith; son, James Carroll Britt; sisters, Mavis Allen, Nita Wilson, and Francis Hall; and brothers, Marvin Watts, Deroy Watts, Albert Watts, and Troy Watts.

Survivors are her grandson, Chuck Britt and wife Wanda of Brookhaven, MS; great granddaughter, Brady Amanda Britt of Brookhaven, MS; great grandson, Jessie James Britt, also of Brookhaven, MS; sisters, Mary Alice Strong and Helen Huffman; and a host of friends.
