Obituary

Mrs. Georgia Mae Freeman Jordan, 101, of Bogue Chitto, MS passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at her residence. Mrs. Georgia was born on June 3, 1925, in Meadville, MS, to Archie Freeman and Janie Graves Freeman.

The family will receive visitors at Arlington Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, MS from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Funeral services will be held at Arlington Baptist Church at 12:00 PM, with graveside services following in Arlington Baptist Cemetery.

She enjoyed having weekly Bible Studies in her home. She was a long-time member of Arlington Baptist Church. She lived a long happy life to the age of 101. She was a homemaker. She was a loving mother and grandmother to 5 daughters and a host of grandchildren.

Mrs. Georgia Mae is preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Janie Freeman; husband of 53 years, Eugene “Booty” Jordan; daughter, Frances Copsy; sons-in-law, Robert Copsy and Rodney Case; grandsons, Ronnie Whittington and Corey Carwyle; great grandsons, Robbie Ellis and Dakota Gibson; great-great granddaughter, Maley Case; brothers, Lee Freeman, Frank Freeman, L.A. Freeman, Mervin Freeman and Roy Freeman; sisters, Lois Thornton, Pernie Arnold, Oma Wallace, Grace Wallace, and Billie Allred.

She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Case of Smithdale, Pat Jones (Nolan) of Bogue Chitto, Jan Scott (Johnny) of Meadville, and Pam Carwyle (Ronnie) of Bogue Chitto; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to Alma Smith of Accent Home Care, Jennifer Case and Carlene Statham, Silver Cross Nursing Home Arden Home Health and Hospice, and Dr. Bryan Calcote and Staff.
