Funeral services for George Monroe Callender Jr. will be on Friday, March 19, 2021, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 12:00 Noon with burial to follow in the Topisaw Baptist Cemetery. Bro. David Moree will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be on Friday, March 19 , 2021, from 10:00 until 12:00  Noon.

Mr. Callender, 57, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Monday, March 15, 2021, at his home.  He was born on June 1, 1963, in Jackson, MS, to George Callender Sr. and Marguerite Virginia Hoskins Callender. George worked for many years as a carpenter. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and was a avid New Orleans Saints fan.

Preceding him in death were his parents George and Maggie Callender; sister Donnie Lambert.

Survivors are his children, George Monroe "Trey" Callender III and Jae Morgan Pierce (Eric); grandchildren, Kyleigh Jade Tate, Braelynn Nicole Callender and Dawson Pierce; sisters Connie Coffman (John), Sheri Hokamp (Danny) and Kay Smith (Leo); brother Russell Callender (Ondria); and many nieces and nephews.
