Funeral services for Garland Wade Smith will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) at 7 PM. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, from 4 PM until 7 PM.

Mr. Smith, 64, passed from this life on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at his residence in Brookhaven, MS. He was born on September 21, 1951, in McComb, MS, to Willard P. Smith and Sarah Brown Clark. He worked for many years as a self-employed handyman. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to go fishing. He was a loving son, father and grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Willard P. Smith and Sarah Brown Clark; brothers, Michael Smith and William "Bill" Stanley; and granddaughter, Amber Lynn Smith.

Survivors are his daughters, Amy Smith Alford and husband Michael of Brookhaven, MS, Carrie Smith DeWitt of Brookhaven, MS, and Anna Smith Bates of Damascus, AR; grandchildren, Christopher Michael Sublett, Gandalf Malone Sublett, Talon Wade Sublett, Haliey Alford, Brooke Alford, Drelyn Anthony DeWitt, D`Avantae Danley DeWitt, Destiny Jade Bates; and a host of family and friends.
