Funeral services for Freddie Eugene Busby will be on held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Wellman Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, MS with burial to follow in the Wellman Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Davis will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at held at Wellman Baptist Church on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM.

Freddie E. Busby, 77, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at KDMC in Brookhaven.  He was born on October 1, 1946 in Brookhaven, MS to Melton Earl Busby and Leila Mae Jantz Busby. He was saved in September, 1975. He honored his Lord as a long time Sunday School Teacher and Song Leader in his church. Mr. Busby was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving his country in the U.S. Army. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melton and Leila Mae Busby; grandparents Fred and Carrie Jantz and T.I. and Mattie Busby; brother Jerry Holmes; brother-in-law Mike Cannon; grandson Destin Rayborn; and granddaughter Braylin Case.

Survivors include his wife Vicky Busby; daughter Stacey McNeese (Travis); son T.J. Reeves (Paula); son Bubba Reeves; son Justin Scherer (Haley); daughter Tiffany Martin (Ashley); daughter Jessica Scherer; daughter Elizabeth Genaro; daughter Nicole Whittington; sisters Louise Cannon, Martha Walley (Mike), Sandra White and Donna Nations; brothers, Henry Busby and John Busby (Darlene); grandchildren, Jessie King (Zach), Kenith Burr (Kristen), Cody McNeese (Kristina), Haley McNeese and Matthew McNeese, Justin Scherer Jr., Joseph Scherer, Braden Reeves, Sawyer Reeves, Easton Reeves, Owen Reeves, Shyann Reeves, Fancy Martin, Ashland Martin, Lillyanna Devilla, Serenty Marks, and A.J. ,Dylan, Jessie and Rain Howell; great grandchildren, Braxton Nations, Mason King, Everett King, Charlea McNeese, Paisley McNeese, Amayah Davis, Ariana Davis and Ruston Burr.
