Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Freddie Q. Bessonette will be on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Brookhaven Funeral Home in (894 Natchez Drive) Brookhaven, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Union Hall Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Adrian Fairchild will be officiating the services. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Mr. Bessonette, 88, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on December 6, 2018, at King's Daughters Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on October 14, 1930 in Lincoln County, MS, to Leon Bessonette and Gladys Thomas Bessonette. He enjoyed going to the Moose Lodge and shooting pool where he was a faithful member. He loved dancing and was an avid hunter. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 44 years, Rita Smith Bessonette; his son, Chris Bessonette; his sister, Elsa Lee Bessonette; and his brothers, Homer, Malcolm, Lonnie, Rudolph, Charles, Wesley, and Junior Bessonette.

Survivors are his sons, Freddie Bruce Bessonette Jr. and wife Peggy, and Steve Bessonette and wife Sherry; daughters, Debbie Richardson and husband Raymond, and Angie Smith and husband Shane; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; his sister, Evelyn Smith and husband Don; his special friend, Linda Harveston; and a host of family and friends.
