Funeral services for Mr. Frank Elvin Smith will be on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Dr. Garland Boyd will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Macedonia Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 15, 2016, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Mr. Elvin, 89, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on September 4, 1927 in Brookhaven, MS, to Frank and Nora Smith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 59 ½ years, Neta Fay Smith; his parents; sisters, Wessie Reed and Genevieve Case; and brothers, Edward Smith.

Survivors are his son Johnny Mitchell Smith and wife Marilyn of Brookhaven, MS; his grandchildren, Chris M. Smith and wife Brandy, and Eric Smith; great grandchildren, Cameron Smith, Gracie Smith, and Trevor Smith all of Brookhaven; his sister, Kathleen Smith; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mr. Smith's caregiver Darlene Pell Hughes and family.
