Funeral services for Mrs. Frances M. Watson will be on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Big Springs Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in Kees Cemetery. Bro. Kenny Cantrell will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will take place at Big Springs Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until time of funeral services.

Mrs. Watson 86, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on December 17, 2023, at her home.  She was born on March 23, 1937, in Randolph, MS, to Buford and Beatrice Vance.

She was a longtime member of Big Springs Baptist Church; worked for many years at Brook Manor Nursing Home. She enjoyed spending time around family and friends, and especially loved her animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Roy L. Watson.

Survivors include her children; Nicholas Lee (Wanda) of Brookhaven, Sharal Bateman (Wayne) of Gaston, SC; and Tim Watson (Kathy) of Brandon, MS; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one step-great grandchild; and seven great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind one sister, Carolyn Howard of Homerville, GA, along with a host of extended family and friends.
