Ms. Querns, 78, of Brookhaven, MS, passed away at her home on February 4, 2017 with her loved ones by her side. She was born on March 21, 1938 in Brookhaven, MS, to Frank G. Querns, Sr. and Mamie Belle Herring Querns Hemphill. She enjoyed reading and was a loving sister, sister-in-law and aunt.
Ms. Querns was a graduate of Brookhaven High School, Co-Lin Junior College and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. She then began training as a Medical Technologist at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. She continued to work at the Baptist Hospital for some twenty five years before having to take an early retirement due to medical reasons. Upon her retirement she returned to Brookhaven to live. She was a member of Southway Baptist Church in Brookhaven.
Preceding her in death were her parents and infant brother, Kenneth E. Querns.
Survivors are her sister, Barbara Q. Breaux and husband Dallas of Bogue Chitto, MS; brother, Frank Querns, Jr. and wife Debbie of Brookhaven; nieces and nephews Darren Breaux and his wife Joy, Duane Breaux, Brooke Breaux Patendis and her husband Timothy, Frank Querns III and his wife Stephanie, Kenneth Querns and his wife Melissa and Jason Querns; and a special cousin Sherry Foster. She had eleven great nieces and nephews.
