Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Irene Smith will be on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, MS. Bro. Floyd Higginbotham and Bro. Jacob Glasz will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Smith, 93, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 1, 1926 in Whitney, AL, to Herbert and Maggie Lowe Owens. She enjoyed cooking and game day with her friends. She loved watching the Atlanta Braves. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, the Nell Smith Sunday School Class, and The Order of the Eastern Star.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 44 years, Thomas I. Smith, Jr.; son-in-law, Dean Foster; grandson, Erin Thomas McNeel; great-grand daughter, Skylar Mae McNeel; brothers, Carvin Owens, Artis Owens, and Preston Owens; and sister, Hildred Stroud.

Survivors are her daughters, Barbara McNeel and husband Ron, Linda Foster, and Annette Rials and husband Dwayne; grandchildren, Jared McNeel and wife Lindsey, Peyton Rials, and Ashton Rials; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family would like to thank Hospice Ministries, Inc. nurse, Ann Weeks; caregiver, Gayla Wardlaw; and Dr. Will Austin and staff.
