Funeral services for Mrs. Etta Faye Newsom Hibbard will be on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at 2:30 PM at Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello, MS. Bro. Andy Fullington will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM till the start of the funeral service at 1:00 PM.

Mrs. Hibbard, 91, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Golden Living (Brook Manor) Nursing Home in Brookhaven. She was born on August 25, 1924 in Lawrence County, MS to Samuel Newsom and Minnie Keene Newsom. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. She also worked for K-Mart for many years in Birmingham . She was a member of Eastern Star #559 in Florence, KY for 60 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Edward Hibbard; two sons, James Mitchell Hibbard and Wayne Edward Hibbard; six sisters and four brothers.

Survivors are her grandsons, Evan and Aron Hibbard of Birmingham and numerous nieces and nephews.
