Graveside services for Mr. Essey C. Rushing, Jr. will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Easthaven Cemetery. Bro. Leonard Rushing will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Rushing, 61, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at home with his loving family by his side.  He was born on August 24, 1958, in New Orleans, LA, to Essey Sr. and Myrtle McClelland Rushing. He worked for many years as a Sheet Rock Finisher; and enjoyed music and his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, Wayne Rushing, Sr. and his sister, Charlene Carmical.

Survivors are his life partner, Susan Birdsong; his son, Steven Rushing; siblings, Brenda Cline and Linda Watkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
