Obituary

Funeral services for Ervin Chris Bessonette will be on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in the Union Hall Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Carl Adamson will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

Mr. Bessonette, 57, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, MS, with his loving family by his side. He was born on December 31, 1959, in Brookhaven, MS, to Freddie Q. and Rita Smith Bessonette. He was a member of Union Hall Baptist Church; worked for many years as a roofer and also in the oilfield; and enjoyed canoeing, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Rita Smith Bessonette.

Survivors are his father, Freddie Q. Bessonette of Brookhaven, MS; siblings, Debbie Bessonette Richardson and husband Raymond of Brookhaven, MS, Freddie Bessonette and wife Peggy of Brookhaven, Steven Bessonette and wife Sherry of Brookhaven, MS, and Angie Bessonette Smith and husband Shane of Brookhaven, MS; special friends, Inge Vice and Andy Crosby; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Marty Richardson, Casey Bessonette, Steven Q. Bessonette, Raymond Richardson, Freddie B. Bessonette and Steven Bessonette.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Sta-Home Healthcare and the staff of Southwest Regional Medical Center, SW Cancer Institute of McComb, and St. Dominic's Hospital.
