Ernestine J. Amos' Obituary
Mrs. Amos, 88, passed from this life on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 28, 1928 in Salzburg, Austria, to Johann and Anna Mauritz Dam. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst; worked for many years as a supervisor at Royal Maid in Hazlehurst, MS; and enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Johann and Anna Mauritz Dam; husband, William "Bill" Amos; and brother, Hubert Dam.
Survivors are her son, Billy Amos and wife Judy of Brookhaven, MS; daughter, Elisabeth Amos Mann and husband Russell of Americus, GA; grandchildren, Jarod Amos and wife Katie, Lori Amos Laird and husband James, Julie Kirkland Hamlin and husband Greg, and Russell Mann, Jr.; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Silver Cross Nursing Home.
