Funeral services for Eloise Dykes Brister will be on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Bro. Lance Moak will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and from 9:00 AM till 10:00 AM on Wednesday.

Mrs. Brister, 80, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at home.  She was born on August 1, 1941, in Johnston Station, MS, to Hance Douglas Dykes and Lela Mae Smith Dykes. She was a homemaker. Eloise loved to cook and always kept a clean house. She loved being with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents Hance and Lela Mae Dykes; daughter, Barbara S. Brister; brother Edward Dykes; sisters Dora Mae Hines, Ruby Causin and Betty Jo Carter.

Survivors are her husband of 62 years, Kenneth A. Brister; daughters Joyce A. Evans and Rebecca L. Moore; brother James "Jimmy" Dykes; 8 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
