Funeral services for Elizabeth Vida Wells will be on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 12 PM, with burial to follow in the Heuck's Retreat Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Ryan Thurman will be officiating the services, with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be on the same day from 10 AM until time of the service at 12 PM.

Mrs. Wells, 72, passed from this life on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS. She was born on September 1, 1943, in Lincoln County, MS, to James Cody and Hazel Norton Wells. She loved animals, painting, and was a loving and caring daughter and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents, James Cody and Hazel Norton Wells; and grandparents, George Wiley and Evelyn Virginia "Evie" Wells, and George Washington and Nola Jones Norton.

Survivors are her first cousins, Doris Norton Elkins of Brookhaven, MS and Steve Wells, formerly of Brookhaven, MS; special cousin, Deborah Norton Callender and husband Larry of Brookhaven, MS; and a host of other cousins, as well as family and friends.
