Funeral services for Elizabeth Justine McInnis will be on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. Greg Warnock will be officiating the services, with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Mrs. McInnis, 94, passed from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at The Woodlands Nursing and Rehab in Clinton, MS. She was born on October 29, 1922 in Johnston City, IL, to Stelsa Creighton. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother.

She was trained and worked as an RN in Jacksonville, IL. She moved to Brookhaven, MS in 1948 and married Elmer V. McInnis in 1954. Mrs. McInnis was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven where she served during Sunday School with babie for 27 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Elmer V. McInnis, Jr.; and brother, Harold D. Rice.

Survivors are her son, Elmer V. McInnis, III and wife Treva of Madison, MS; daughters, Melissa Honea and husband Michael of Madison, MS and Melinda Williams of Brookhaven and Benny Holden of Brandon, MS; three grandchildren, Amanda Sokolich and husband Jason, Brandon Williams and Sam Thomas McInnis ; one great grandchild Ico Sokolich.
