Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Dykes Evans will be on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 2:00m PM with burial to follow in the Easthaven Cemetery. Bro. Billy Joe Deer will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at the same location on the same day from 12:00 PM until time of the service at 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Evans, 55, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Merit Health Wesley Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.  She was born on March 27, 1965, in Wesson, MS, to James Edward Dykes and Betty Jean Hodges Dykes. She was a member of First Baptist Church Brookhaven. Mrs. Evans was devoted to and loved her dog Minnie Pearl, who passed away previously.  She was a loving wife, sister, and friend to all.

Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Laurie Elizabeth Evans; and sister, Betty Sue Dykes.

Survivors are her husband, Robert Harold Evans; sisters, Judy Arnold and "Pee Wee" Pennington and husband Perry, both of Brookhaven; brothers, James Dykes, Jr., Charles Ray, and Edward Earl, all of Brookhaven; and a host of family and friends.
