Mrs. Elaine Hall Roberts, 77, of Bogue Chitto, MS passed away at her residence surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church from 5:00PM - 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be held at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10:00AM with interment to follow at Johnston Chapel United Methodist Cemetery in Pike County.
Mrs. Elaine was born in Brookhaven, MS on July 7, 1947 to the late Ernie Roain Hall and Emma Johnson Hall. Mrs. Elaine raised three children who were her pride and joy. She and her husband owned and operated a small country store for 37 years where she also helped bring up five granddaughters who were also her pride and joy. In her downtime you could find her in the garden, at church or supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in any way she could. She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband J.R. Roberts for 59 years, and was a member of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie Hall and Emma Johnson Hall; brothers Buddy Hall, Jimmy Hall, and Alton Hall; as well as many brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law who were like siblings to her.
She is survived by her husband, James Robert (J.R.) Roberts Sr.; sons James Robert (Robbie) Roberts Jr.(Tracy), Randy Roain Roberts; daughter Dana Melaine Nettles (Jamie); granddaughters Heather Davis (Chris), Robin Cox (Brian), Daley Roberts, Alana Reid (Logan), Alece Bullock (Brantley); great-grandsons Connor and Myles Buitt, Trent Davis, Paul Hood, Koa Reid and Levi Cox; great-granddaughters Kayleigh Davis, Parker Hood, Laiklyn and Kylan Reid, Lucy Cox and Rayden Bullock; sisters-in-law Carol Dillon (Clyde) and Sharon Roberts. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers will be David Hall, Todd Hall, Steve Hall, Chris Hall, Connor Buitt and Nick Roberts.
The family would like to thank Bristol House Hospice for their exceptional care.
