Funeral services for Mrs. Elaine Meredith will be held at 2:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Macedonia Baptist Church; a visitation will take place at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral. Graveside services will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Meredith, of Brookhaven, passed from this life at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS on April 13, 2023. She was born in Amite County on December 28, 1938 to the late Jack and Inez Etheridge Cupit.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Billy Ray Meredith; her children, Vickie Webb (W.R.), Delores Havard (Ronny), Dwayne Nettles, Jr. (Terri), and Barry Miller (Randi); six grandsons; and 23 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind four siblings, Jackie Cupit (Dalpha Jane), Charles Cupit (Susie), Johnny Cupit (Betty) and Betsy Cupit Coker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
