Graveside services for Edna E. Blalock will be on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Blalock Cemetery in Liberty, MS, at 12:30 PM. Pastor Ivory "Bubba" Disotell and Rev. Jeremy Matheny will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Blalock, 77, of Liberty, MS, passed from this life on March 22, 2023, at St. Joseph Hospice in Gulfport, MS.  She was born on August 13, 1945, in Liberty, MS, to Hebert David Hodges Sr. and Ruby Mae Lilly Hodges. She worked as a seamtress at Carter's Garment Factory. Mrs. Edna enjoyed her family and friends. She was a loving and caring person. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents Herbert and Ruby Mae Hodges; daughter Sheila Renee Carter; husbands Shelby Carter and Paul Blalock; sisters Maxine Hodges, Helen Blalock, Ethel Voight, Pearl Blalock, Janice Mason and Elsie Pittman.

Survivors are her children, Polly Ann McKey (John); grandchildren, Joseph McKey and Shelly Bedford (Michael); great-grandchildren, Faithlynn and John Michael; brother David Hodges Jr.; sisters Lucille Israel (Varnell), Polly Stinson (Robert) and Beverly Oliver (Terry) and also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
