Funeral services for Mrs. Edith M. Hux will be on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro.  will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

Mrs. Hux, 88, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Friday, August 28, 2020, at Diversicare Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS.  She was born on August 24, 1932, in Brookhaven, MS, to Isom Wardell Britt and Myrtis Walker Britt. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church; was self-employed as a hair stylist for many years; and enjoyed baseball, cooking and her family. Mrs. Hux was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents Wardell and Myrtis Britt; husband, Calvin Hux; grandson Hayden Hux and brother Glenn Britt.

Survivors are her sons, Paul Hux and wife Kristi and Brad Hux and wife Wendy, all of Wesson, MS;  grandchildren, Haleigh Hux Swain, Abigail Hux McDonald, Harrison Hux;  great-grandchildren, Ella Hux and Presley McDonald; brother Jimmy Britt and a host of family and friends.
